We are pleased to announce that Lyla Gallery will feature works by our outstanding artists: Arjinjonathan Arjinkit l Eiji Sumi l Mit Jai Inn l Pichakorn Chukiew l NAAdesign l Supmanee Chaisansuk at the Hotel Art Fair Bangkok 2017 during 23 0 25 June 2017. The fair will take place at Volve Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

About artist:
Arjinjonathan is best known for his signature vibrant color palette. He has been exploring the idea of contemporary society both in socio-political perspective and aesthetic perspective through his painting process. Material, process and color has always been areas of Arjinkit core practice. In his painting, he often employs industrial paint, commercial paint and other industrial material in his painting process. His signature bright, vibrant and vivid color is his visual aspect of today’s society that in line with the current global landscape. Arjinkit refers to his color as ‘color of today’s everyday life’.

Eiji Sumi is Japanese artist, base in Bangkok. Sumi’s mix media approach explore research in materials, contextualizing digital media, lighting into various forms and experience, Installation experiments in environment probing the relationship between art and science, architectural and public art and urban landscapes of social issues. Sumi has worked in New York as an artist and was commissioned by various clients in design. During his time in New York, Sumi gained attention with his projects ranging from mixed-media, lighting installations, painting and drawing.

Mit Jai Inn is a pioneer of Thai contemporary art. His artwork is a testimony of his attitude toward life and his political point of view. His multi-layered abstract works hover between painting and sculpture, never quite fitting into either category. He work has been widely exhibited both nationally and internationally.

NAAdesign is Chiang Mai-based design brand, and is co-founded by France designer, Laudine Dubeaux and Thai journalist, Arnut Saento. The brand entitled “NAA/ นะะ design” is a mix of Frech and Thai word; In French “Naa !” would be a childish but yet sassy word whether in Thai it will be a punchy one inviting to make a move. NAAdesign’s work is inspired by Northern Thai culture, color, material and its traditional craftsmanship.

Pichakorn Chukiew or known as tua pen not is Chiang Mai-based artist. He has been consistently working on his abstract painting. He often apply everyday objects and collage elements in his painting.

Supmanee CHaisansuk is a self-taught artist. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree (Architecture) and a Master of Architecture(mainly in Architectural Technology & Environmental Design) from the Faculty of Architecture and Planning,Thammasat University, Thailand. She’s started her painting in 2009 due to her heath issue. Her colorful, passionate and innovative work often inspired by the beauty of the nature.
