Artist talk : Chris Cheung (h0nh1m) / XCEED – Tang Kwok Hin – Morgan Wong

Compared to previous generations, Hong Kong media artists in Generation Y face a new set of cultural and geopolitical factors fixated by textbook-history particularly in the postcolonial context. One World Exposition 2 set out to re-examine this analogy. Despite the overarching common features of generation Y, the artistic practices of Chris Cheung (H0NH1M), Tang Kwok Hin and Morgan Wong vary vastly, ranging from innovative means of art making, intimate aesthetic approaches, to existential narratives. In this panel discussion, these OWE2 artists will delve into their perspectives on the contributing factors of their practice on a personal level as a Gen Y artist in Hong Kong.

相對之前的世代，Y世代的香港媒體藝術家面臨後殖民背景中文化和地緣政治的一系列新因素，當中尤其緣於教科書上的歷史。平行世界2旨在重新審視這種譬喻。儘管Y世代擁有常見總體特徵，張瀚謙 (h0nh1m) / XCEED、鄧國騫、黃榮法的藝術手法截然不同，從藝術的創意，親密的美學，到對存在的敍述。在這個講座，這些平行世界2的藝術家將以作為香港Y世代藝術家的層面，深入探討他們影響他們創作的因素。
