Last year, on May 2nd

“The Other room : exploring the other’s life” The Art party in abandoned place. It’s our first project to support arts in Bangkok. The audiences came to visit us, observed and peeped the site-specific arts which created by many talented artists before renovating the abandoned building to be Thong Lor Art Space Bangkok

With your best supporting, we have presented many art and performing projects since then. And this year, we thought that it’s time to do something crazy like The Other room’s project.

This year, on February 20

We will present you this project “Space Oh these [cra]ZY”

it’s not the long journey of Odysseus after Trojan War or finding truth behind Monolith stone by Odyssey’s crew in the space.

“Not about the universe but the people who lived there”

The site specific performance project under the idea of something supernatural, incredible and unbelievable relies on the faith in religion and science.
Sometime people pay attention to some thing nonsense for the others but make sense for them.

Something is unreasonable but believable.
Something cult!!

Inviting 9 artists per week, from theatre,performing art, fine art, graffiti, film and installation art to occupied 9 spaces( rectangular, triangular, and circular space) , around 2.5 x 2.5 meters which defined by the tape, each week.

And these are some artists who will take us journey with their pieces,

with another 15 artists and another 15 pieces!!!

Artists all independently creates their space under the concept Space Oh – These –(cra)Zy in their ways.

Nine spaces locate on

the Art Library Café (2nd floor)
Performance laboratory(3rd floor)
Abandoned rooftop gallery (5th floor)

Each week, newly 9 artists will be invited to present their work in different defined space and also some of the pieces from the week before will be remained in their space. That’s means in the 2nd and 3rd week the audience could experience more than 9 pieces.

The audience will be free to walk and visit any piece not in order but as they like it and also can revisit any space they love in that night.

Let’s join and find the crazy meaning of our inner universe, on February 20 till March 8

(Friday and weekends)

และด้วยการตอบรับเป็นอย่างดีจากทุกท่าน ทำให้ชาวทองหล่ออาร์ตเสปซได้จัดงานต่างๆต่อมาอย่างต่อเนื่องในช่วง 8 เดือนที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งในตอนนี้ทางเราเห็นสมควรแล้วว่าน่าจะมีงานอะไรที่[cra]ZYๆแบบThe Other room อีกสักที

Space Oh these [cra]ZY หรือแปลเป็นไทยว่า คุณพระ เสปซนี้มันบ้าไปแล้ว

มันไม่ใช่การเดินทางหลังจบสงครามทรอยของโอดิสซีอุส หรือการออกเดินทางค้นหาความจริงเกี่ยวกับแท่งหินโมโนลิธของลูกเรือยานโอดิสซีย์

แต่มันเป็นโปรเจ็คท์งานsite specific performanceภายใต้แนวคิดอันพิศดารพันลึกน่าเหลือเชื่อเหนือธรรมชาติ บนความศรัทธาในศาสนาและความเชื่อมั่นในวิทยาศาสตร์

ในบางครั้งเรื่องไร้สาระในสายตาคนๆหนึ่ง อาจจะไม่ใช่เรื่องไร้สาระสำหรับใครอีกคน

อะไรที่มันไร้ตรรกะแต่ว่าน่าเชื่อ… อะไรที่มัน…คัลท์(Cult)

จากศิลปินสัปดาห์ละ 9 ท่าน ทั้งหมด 3 สัปดาห์ ที่จะมาสร้างผลงานศิลปะแขนงต่างๆไม่ว่าจะเป็นละครเวที ศิลปะการแสดง วิจิตรศิลป์ กราฟฟิตี้ ภาพยนตร์ และ ศิลปะจัดวาง

ทั้ง 27 ท่านนี้จะได้รับมอบหมายให้สร้างงานของตัวเองบนพื้นที่(สี่เหลี่ยม/สามเหลี่ยม/กลมๆ)ขนาดประมาณ 2.5*2.5 เมตร ในคอนเซ็ปต์Space Oh – These –(cra)Zyตามแนวทางของตัวเอง

พื้นที่ทั้ง 9 นี้จะจัดแสดงที่
ชั้น 2 Art Library Café
ชั้น 3 Performance laboratory
ชั้น 5 abandoned rooftop gallery
ณ ทองหล่ออาร์ตเสปซ

ในแต่ละสัปดาห์ เมื่อเข้าสู่สัปดาห์ใหม่ ศิลปินชุดถัดไปอีก 9 ท่านก็จะถูกเชิญมานำเสนองานของตัวเองในพื้นที่ใหม่อีก 9 จุด ทำให้ในแต่ละสัปดาห์จะมีงานใหม่ๆมาจัดแสดงเพิ่มขึ้น (ยกเว้นบางงานที่เป็นการแสดงสดซึ่งควรจะต้องมาดูในวันและเวลาที่เฉพาะเจาะจง)
โดยท่านผู้เข้าร่วมงานสามารถเดินชมงานต่างๆได้อย่างอิสระตามใจชอบ
