ASCENDANCY
Every film incorporates a dominant lurking power; although mostly satire, each contains a prediction of what will happen or has happened in our society. Conspiracies driven by political or corporate interests, addictive substances, or primal instincts that manifest from twisted desires. Control is showcased as the ultimate goal of humanity, whether it be directed at ourselves or others.
