Believe it or not this incredible 247-square-meter fantasy house, completed in July 2015, does not have any actual bedrooms. In fact, besides from its kitchen and TV-room there is very little “houselike” about this building, and indeed that was the intended purpose.
According to the architecture firm behind the project, Pascali Semerdjian Arquitetos, the building “Toy House MM01” was built as a huge playground and multi-functional space for one creative and art-loving São Paulo family.
Located within walking distance of the family’s actual home in São Paulo’s Jardim Paulista district, Toy House MM01 serves as an open gallery for the family’s impressive collection of art, a place to entertain guests and a rather large game-room for the kids.
Out of the many works from famous and emerging artists in the play house, some notable names include Anish Kapoor, Keith Haring, Mauro Perucchetti and Brazilian muralists, Os Gemeos.
