Shuji Onodera will hold a free, two-day mime and physical movement workshop at Thong Lor Art Space between 16 -17 January. Held in collaboration with The Japan Foundation, the workshop offers two sessions, with a beginners class on the Saturday 16th from 13:00 – 15:00 and an artist class the following day from 13:00 – 15:00.

Shuji Onodera is a renowned movement artist, having trained at the Mime Institute of Japan. He went on to head the Performance Theatre Water and Oil company, winning The Herald Angel Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2001. His group has performed in twenty-two cities in nine overseas countries and in twenty-two cities in Japan. Following the disbandment of Performance Theatre Water and Oil, he went on to establish a new group, Company Derashinera in 2007. The group recently performed a piece directed by Shuji Onodera at Bangkok’s BACC for two days, from 13-14 January 2016.
