DESCRIPTION:A Contemporary Graphic Art Exhibition & Workshops\nHand-picked and hand-printed by The Archivist\n7 May – 6 June 2015 \nOpening reception: Thursday 7 May\, 6pm onwards\nat The Jam Factory Gallery\, Klongsarn \nAn ORIGINAL BY THE ORGINALS is the first group exhibition by The Archivist\, a Bangkok-based printing studio specializing in hand-pulled screen prints. This exhibition consists of the studio inviting 12 artists\, graphic designers and illustrators that have expertise in various approaches (both emerging to the established) to collaborate and create unique pieces of works through the process of screen printing. This will allow audience to see the artists’ thinking processes layers by layers\, the values of creating the work together\, developing\, experimenting and influences between the printers and the artists. \n“An Original by the Originals” features work from 12 Thai artists:- \nSanti Lawrachawee\, a curator and graphic designer (Practical Design Studio)\, Tnop Wangsillapakun (TNOP Design)\, Jirayu Koo\, an artist and illustrator\, Jackkrit Anantakul (Hello I am JK)\, Kanitta Meechubot\, an illustrator and model maker\, Suthipa Kamyam\, an artist\, illustrator and traveller\, Minchaya Chayosumrit (The Archivist)\, May Waikittipong (Pianissimo Press)\, Deun Chongmankhong\, an artist\, photographer\, songwriters\, Pimm Chongcharoen (Teaspoon Studio)\, Vuttiphong Mahasamut (Free Typewriter)\, Jark Jarut \nEach artist comes from a different background and experiences various challenges in producing the prints. However\, they all display the cleverness and complicated thinking to create the artworks for this exhibition. \nThroughout the intricate process of screen printing which a print is individually produced\, each piece can vary in even the tiniest detail\, whether at a glance it can be indicated or not\, the process by all means results in multiple originals which none of them are exactly the same. In the next process\, the artist will be given a finished print to create a new piece of art\, using any possible techniques to push creative boundaries between the artist and the creative process. Finally\, the two pieces will be displayed together to emphasize on the charms and values of the originality that the printers and the artists carefully put into the works. \n================ \nนิทรรศการ “An Original by the Originals”\nนิทรรศการศิลปะภาพพิมพ์กลุ่ม โดย พริ้นท์สตูดิโอ The Archivist\n7 พฤษภาคม – 6 มิถุนายน 2558\nเปิดงานวันที่ 7 พฤษภาคม 2558 เวลา 18.00 น. เป็นตันไป \nนิทรรศการกลุ่มครั้งแรกของสตูดิโอภาพพิมพ์ “ดิ อาร์คะวิสท์” สตูดิโอที่มุ่งเน้นกระบวนการพิมพ์ภาพพิมพ์มือด้วยเทคนิคสกรีนพริ้นท์ ซึ่งในครั้งนี้เป็นครั้งแรกที่ทางสตูดิโอเชิญเหล่าศิลปินตั้งแต่รุ่นเล็ก ไปจนถึงรุ่นใหญ่ จำนวน 12 ท่าน ที่เชี่ยวชาญศิลปะหลากหลายแขนง มาร่วมสร้างสรรค์ชิ้นงานอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ ผ่านกระบวนการทางความคิดในเชิงเทคนิคภาพพิมพ์สกรีนพริ้นท์ ให้เป็นงานภาพพิมพ์ร่วมสมัยที่น่าสนใจและท้าทายให้ผู้ชมงานได้เห็นชั้นเชิงทางเทคนิคอันแยบยล ไปจนเห็นคุณค่าที่เกิดจากการสร้างสรรค์ชิ้นงานร่วมกัน จวบจนการต่อยอดทางความคิดที่ส่งผลสะท้อนกันไปมาระหว่างช่างพิมพ์และศิลปิน \nนิทรรศการครั้งนี้ บอกเล่าผ่านศิลปิน 12 ท่าน ได้แก่ สันติ ลอรัชวี ผู้เป็นทั้งคิวเรเตอร์และกราฟิกดีไซเนอร์ (Practical Studio)\, ธีรนพ หวังศิลปคุณ (TNOP DESIGN)\, จิรายุ คูอมรพัฒนะ ศิลปินและนักทำภาพประกอบ\, จักรกฤษณ์ อนันตกุล ศิลปินสตรีตอาร์ทและกราฟิกดีไซเนอร์\, คณิตา มีชูบท ศิลปินปะติมากรรมกระดาษและนักวาดภาพประกอบ\, สุทธิภา คำแย้ม ศิลปินนักวาดภาพประกอบและนักเดินทาง\, มิญชญา ชโยสัมฤทธิ์ (The Archivist)\, เมย์ ไวกิตติพงษ์ Pianissimo Press Shop)\, เดือน จงมั่นคง Deun Chongmankhong ศิลปินถ่ายภาพและนักดนตรี\, พิม จงเจริญ Teaspoon Studio)\, วุฒิพงษ์ มหาสมุทร Free Typewriter) และ จารุตม์ จันทร์ประภานนท์ Jark กราฟฟิคดีไซน์เนอร์รุ่นใหม่ ด้วยเบื้องหลังอันแตกต่างของตัวศิลปินแต่ละท่านทำให้การทำงานร่วมกันมีทั้งความยาก ง่าย ล้ำลึก แยบยล แตกต่างกันไป ซึ่งทุกคนจะได้เห็นพร้อมกันจากการชมนิทรรศการกลุ่มในครั้งนี้ \nนิทรรศการกลุ่มครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นกระตุ้นให้เกิดการตั้งคำถามถึงความเป็น Original ของงานศิลปะแต่ละชิ้นที่เกิดขึ้น เพราะเมื่อผลงานชิ้นหนึ่ง คือชิ้นงานภาพพิมพ์ด้วยมือ ซึ่งโดยกระบวนการแล้ว แต่ละชิ้นเองก็เรียกได้ว่าเป็น Original ในตัวเอง และอีกชิ้นหนึ่ง คือชิ้นที่ศิลปินนำไปสร้างสรรค์เพิ่มเติมต่อ เมื่อศิลปินแต่ละท่านจัดแสดงงาน 2 ชิ้นงานคู่กัน เราจะพบเสน่ห์แห่งชิ้นงานที่เป็น Original ผ่านความรู้สึกที่แสดงออกมาในแต่ละชิ้นงานด้วยความตั้งใจของช่างพิมพ์และศิลปิน \nณ แกลลอรี่ The Jam Factory
