DESCRIPTION:You are invited to ‘TENTACLES TV’s Screening+Talk #3 : เดินทาง / Exploration’. The screening of 4 moving image works as part of the project TENTACLES TV. The screening follows with the artists’ talk about their works and open discussions afterwards. On Saturday 13th January 2018\, from 7 pm at Tentacles (N22) — Free entrance \n‘#3: Exploration…’ \nTime flows\, either we want it or not. We live so we explore inevitably. \n‘Exploration’ may be done physically through bodily motion and/or through a more conceptual way of thought and feeling. And what do we get out of this process? What are those reasons for our exploration\, or our living? The intimate question that constantly comes up in our mind might not be able to be answered. Through something found along the way\, the starting point of exploration from relationship and narrative\, the sharing of inspiration\, or the act of looking at the phenomenon\, this five moving-images\, at least\, provide possibilities. \nTENTACLES TV Project invites everyone to the spaces ‘hidden inside’ from the four moving image artists through various forms of directions from stop-motion animation\, drawing\, video performance to short film. \nFeatured Works: \n‘DFFF’\nby Neungburuj Butchai-ngam\n2015\, 03.53 minutes \n‘BETWEEN WINDSCREEN’\nby Chomphunut Phuttha\n2016\, 04.46 minutes \n‘Damri’\nby Sam Nathapong\n2017\, 03.29 minutes \n‘Mermaid’s Comb’\nby Achitaphon Piansukprasert\n2017\, 07.01 minutes \n‘Rhopalia’\nby Nanut Thanapornrapee\n2016\, 06.26 minutes \n*The discussion will be in Thai & English* \n‘TENTACLES TV’s Screening+Talk #3: Exploration’ is the third session of Screening+Talk which is part of the project ‘TENTACLES TV’. This program is the monthly moving-images screening separated to four sessions starting from November 2017 till February 2018. We selected 4-5 moving-image from the total of 17 by using the specific subject for each session. \n  \n[About TENTACLES TV — Project] \nTENTACLES TV is an experimental project to showcase and distribute any kind of moving-image works created by anyone who wants to show their works. The works submitted are presented on a television set\, placed near the entrance of Tentacles\, to welcome our visitors for 6 months. Furthermore\, there will be a special screening and Q&A sessions with the creators of the works. \nThe aim is to explore new possibilities in distributing moving-image works\, by eschewing editions and high price tags. We would like to make such works more accessible to a wider audience\, thus allowing a wider support base for moving-image creators. Additionally\, the proceeds from the sale will help support our future projects for experimental and emerging creative practices\, as well as supporting the individual creators who are participating in the project. \n  \n[About Tentacles] \nTentacles is an art initiative founded in 2014. Tentacles focus on providing a platform for emerging and experimental creative practitioners by hosting regular exhibitions and residency program for artists and researchers looking to spend time in Bangkok\, to focus on their practices\, as well as engage with local communities. Tentacles also act as a venue for collaboration and exchange of ideas in the wider social and cultural fields\, by organising events such as seminars\, artist’s talks\, film screening.
