DESCRIPTION:Art Exhibition: There are Reasons to Begin\nVenue: Numthong Gallery from 27th Nov – 2nd Dec 2014\nOpening Ceremony on 27th Nov 2014 at 18.00 \nMite-Ugro is the non-profit organization which aims to support the new generation artists and act as the art center for exchanging artistic experiences located in Gwangju\, South Korea. In addition\, Mite-Ugro hosted the Artist Residency program for Southeast Asian countries. Recently\, Mite-Ugro\, in cooperated with Gwangju Cultural Foundation\, will host the exhibition to disseminate Gwangju’s contemporary art as Gwangju is ranked as the sixth largest city of South Korea with the unique culture\, lifestyle and art\, especially through Gwangju Biennale art exhibition that was held to represent the movement and influence in Korean’s contemporary art all along. \nFor There are Reasons to Begin exhibition\, this is the first time to present the contemporary arts made by seven leading artists from Gwangju; Chanboo Jung\, Guhwan Park\, Hoyoon Shin\, Leenam Lee\, Ma C\, Sehee Sarah Bark and Seongheup Ha. Their works of art\, including photos\, VDO installation\, multimedia\, etc.\, are outstanding and well-known nationally and internationally. \nWith the similarities in historical politics both in Thailand and Gwangju and the fast-paced society together with adaptation of traditional culture of South Korea\, this exhibition will be the key to explore Kwangju’s contemporary art for all as well as the success of the collaboration to support development in art industry by South Korea’ government and private sectors. \n======================== \nนิทรรศการ : There are Reasons to Begin\nณ Numthong Gallery 27 พฤศจิกายน – 2 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2557\nพิธีเปิดนิทรรศการ 27 พฤศจิกายน 2557 เวลา 18:00น. \nด้วยการริเริ่มของ Mite-Ugro องค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไรเพื่อสนับสนุนศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ พร้อมยังเป็นสถานที่พบปะเสวนาแลกเปลี่ยน ของบุคลากรทางศิลปะในเมืองกวางจู ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ รวมถึงยังเป็นสถานที่ที่ร่วมจัดโปรแกรมให้ศิลปินในแถบเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้พำนัก ครั้งนี้ Mite-Ugro ได้ร่วมมือกับ Gwangju Cultural Foundation เพื่อเผยแพร่ศิลปะร่วมสมัยของกวางจู เมืองที่ใหญ่เป็นอับดับที่ 6 ของประเทศ มีวัฒนธรรม วิถีชีวิต และศิลปะของตัวเอง โดยเฉพาะเทศกาลศิลปะ Gwangju Biennale ที่จัดขึ้นเพื่อร่วมเคลื่อนไหวและมีบทบาทต่อวงการศิลปะร่วมสมัยในเกาหลีตลอดมา \nนิทรรศการ There are Reasons to Begin เป็นครั้งแรกของการนำเสนอผลงานศิลปะร่วมสมัย โดย 7 ศิลปินชั้นนำจากเมืองกวางจู ได้แก่ Chanboo Jung\, Guhwan Park\, Hoyoon Shin\, Leenam Lee\, Ma C\, Sehee Sarah Bark และ Seongheup Ha ซึ่งล้วนเป็นศิลปินแถวหน้าและเสาหลักของแวดวงศิลปะร่วมสมัยในเมืองกวางจู มีผลงานนำเสนอทั้งในประเทศเกาหลี และเป็นที่จับตาในระดับนานาชาติ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ภาพถ่าย ผลงานวีดีโอจัดวาง สื่อประสม ฯลฯ \nไทยและกวางจูมีความคล้ายคลึงทางด้านประวัติศาสตร์การเมือง แต่สิ่งที่ต่างออกไปคือสังคมที่พัฒนาอย่างก้าวกระโดด พร้อมๆกับการปรับตัวทางวัฒนธรรมดั้งเดิมของเกาหลี นิทรรศการครั้งนี้จึงเป็นการเปิดประตูบานสำคัญให้เราได้รู้จักรูปแบบศิลปะร่วมสมัยในเมืองกวางจู ที่กล่าวได้ว่าเป็นความสำเร็จของการร่วมมือส่งเสริมความก้าวหน้าของวงการศิลปะระหว่างภาครัฐและเอกชนของประเทศเกาหลีใต้
