DESCRIPTION:(Un)composition \nAn exhibition by Latthapon Korkiatarkul\nDate\nAt Gallery VER\n05.08.2017 – 01.10.17 \nGallery VER would like to cordially invite you to the opening of (Un)composition \, the first solo \nexhibition by Latthapon Korkiattrakul\, an artist who has a deep interest in the transformation and\nredefinition of objects.\n(Un)Composition presents paintings that extend beyond the traditional rules of composition and\nform by an artist. Bravely experimenting with different techniques\, Korkiattrakul worked in a\nvariety of methods. These included sometimes creating paintings that are supremely smooth as\nno hint of brush strokes were left visible. He also\, on other occasions\, intentionally allowed for\nsurface texture\, these include traces of the brush\, dust in the wind\, and a combination of paint\nand materials that each remain etched on the surface\, composing an abstract representation.\nThe smooth and crisp canvas emphasizes the use of different materials. For instance\, the\nstraight shape of paintbrush hair\, and the circle of dust spots\, which are the key compositions of\nthe paintings that offer no principal objects\, narratives\, nor hidden symbolization that requires\nany further excogitation or interpretation than what appears right before our eyes. These\npaintings not only challenge the audience’s perception\, but also entice them to question the\nspace beyond the rectangular frame of the artworks. \nKorkiattrakul’s works portray the artist’s nature and identity through the language of creation. His\ntechniques may seem simple and resourceful\, and yet they beautifully express the sense of\nperseverance and persistence in his practice. The artist has a unique set of techniques\, be it\npolishing or adding layers of paint\, which not only transform the physical characteristics of an\nobject but also redefine its status. This collection thus lies in the realm between two-dimensional\npaintings and the sense of objecthood as seen in sculptures. \nThe exhibition features ____paintings in various sizes.\nStarting from____at Gallery VER\, Narathiwat 22 \nAbout Arisit \nLatthapon Korkiatarkul (1988) was born and currently lives in Bangkok\, Thailand. After graduating from BFA Fine Arts in Visual Arts from \nBangkok University in 2010\, Latthapon worked at The Art Center from 2012-2014 as a gallery assistant. Currently\, Latthapon works at Nova\nContemporary while continuously working on his own practice. His works are exhibited in various projects such as Sovereign Asian Art Prize \,\nat The Rotunda\, Hong Kong (2016) Through and Place and Image exhibition at The Art Center: Center of Academic Resources\,\nChulalongkorn University\, Bangkok (2015) False Things exhibition at Galerie Steph\, Artspace@Helutrans\, Singapore (2014) CURRENCY \nCRISIS exhibition at Whitespace Gallery\, Bangkok (2013) Politic of me \n  \nองค์ประกอบที่ไม่ถูกจัด\nโดย ลัทธพล ก่อเกียรติตระกูล\n5 สิงหาคม – 30 กันยายน 2017\nณ Gallery Ver \nGallery Ver ขอเชิญท่านร่วมเป็นเกียรติในงานเปิดตัวนิทรรศการ องค์ประกอบที่ไม่ถูกจัด นิทรรศการเดี่ยวครั้งแรกของ ลัทธพล ก่อเกียรติตระกูล ศิลปินที่มีความสนใจในการแปรสภาพและเปลี่ยนสถานะใหม่ให้วัตถุ \nองค์ประกอบที่ไม่ถูกจัด นำเสนอการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานจิตรกรรมที่ไม่ถูกควบคุมองค์ประกอบโดยศิลปิน ผลงานจิตรกรรมที่เกิดจากการลงมือจรดลอยแปรงให้เรียบจนไม่ทิ้งฝีแปรง ไปจนถึงจากการทิ้งร่องรอยบนผืนผ้าใบของเศษเสี้ยวชิ้นส่วนที่หลุดรุ่ยจากแปรงทาสี ฝุ่นที่ลอยอยู่ในอากาศ สีและสื่อสำหรับผสม ชิ้นส่วนต่างๆ ประกอบกันจนเกิดเป็นองค์ประกอบของภาพนามธรรม ผืนผ้าใบที่เรียบกริบขับเน้นให้เกิดการแสดงตนของวัสดุ ขนที่เป็นเส้น ฝุ่นที่เป็นจุด ต่างเป็นองค์ประกอบสำคัญของภาพวาดนี้ จิตรกรรมที่ไม่มีตัวแสดงหลัก ไม่มีเรื่องราว ไม่แทนสัญญะใดๆ ซ่อนอยู่ในภาพให้ขบคิดหรือตีความไปมากกว่าสิ่งที่ตาเห็น ไม่เพียงท้าทายการรับรู้ของผู้ชม หากยังล่อลวงและชวนให้สงสัยถึงพื้นที่ไร้ระยะที่กว้างกว่าพรมแดนสี่เหลี่ยมของกรอบภาพ \nผลงานเหล่านี้แสดงให้เห็นถึงธรรมชาติและความเป็นตัวตนของศิลปินผ่านภาษาในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน ด้วยเทคนิควิธีการที่ดูเสมือนสามัญธรรมดาแต่เต็มไปด้วยความมานะและอุตสาหะของศิลปิน ลัทธพลมีวิธีการสร้างสรรค์ที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของตนเอง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการขัดออกหรือการวาดเพิ่มเติม ทั้งหมดนั้นไม่เพียงทำให้ ลักษณะทางกายภาพของวัตถุแปรเปลี่ยนไปแต่หมายรวมถึงสถานะของวัตถุด้วยเช่นกัน ท้ายที่สุดผลงานชุดนี้จึงมีความก้ำกึ่งระหว่างการอยู่ในพรมแดนของพื้นที่จิตรกรรมสองมิติ และความเป็นวัตถุแบบประติมากรรม \nนิทรรศการครั้งนี้ประกอบด้วยงานจิตรกรรมหลากขนาด กว่า ….ชิ้น ที่ศิลปินใช้เวลาลงมือทำกว่า 4 ปี\nสามารถเข้าชมผลงานได้ตั้งแต่วันที่ 5 สิงหาคม – 30 กันยายน 2017 ที่แกลเลอรี่เว่อร์ นราธิวาส 22 แขวงช่องนนทรี เขตยานนาวา กรุงเทพมหานคร
