DESCRIPTION:Children’s Season 2017 \nBuild your own robotic arms powered by hydraulics\, and create art works using these lasercut cardboard robot arms. \nWhat makes a robot and what can be considered art? Can a machine have a creative mind\, or an intelligent arm? \nYour hydraulic mechanical arm is made of laser cut wood\, and an easy-to-build hydraulic system of syringes and tubes. You will get to bring home your robotic arm at the end of the workhop. \nDate: 23 June\n(we are also running this workshop on 9 and 16 June) \nTimes: 4.30pm – 5.30pm \nVenue: FabCafe\, lobby of ArtScience Museum (meet at the Fab Counter) \nAges: 9 – 100+ (Kids ages 12 and below to be accompanied by parents at all times) \nFee: $15 per participant\nSize: 25 pax \nThis workshop is designed to be kids and beginner friendly. Non-beginners and non-kids are more than welcome. \nMost of the materials in the workshop are designed and created by us with the help of our friends.
