DESCRIPTION:ETCHING & WOODCUT PRINT\n Session starts Wed. October 1st – Register now!\n Etching (Wed. mornings 10am – noon) – Woodcut print ( Thur. evenings 6-8 pm) \nExplore your artistic talents at Toot Yung Art Center with professional coaching from artists. In an eight-week course you will discover new techniques and learn to look at art with different eyes. \nEtching course\nThis course will be offering you the chance to learn the method of etching with a professional artist providing enthusiastic tuition and advice at a high technical Level. Our Introduction to Etching course allows participants to work on their own copper plates\, experiment first with hard ground and soft ground\, then adding tone using aquatint techniques. Participants will print examples of each of these processes and leave with these prints and their plates. \nIncluded materials: Copper plate\, etching tools\, inks\, press\, fabriano and canson paper. \nClass takes place every Wednesday morning from 10am till noon. \nPrice for 1 session (8 classes): 9\,600 baht \nWoodcut Print course\nThis course will be offering you the chance to learn the method of Woodcut Printing with a professional artist providing enthusiastic tuition and advice at a high technical Level. Using high quality cutting tools\, rollers and oil based inks\, this is a class for those that enjoy the physicality of materials. This course will introduce students to materials\, cutting techniques\, the production of a multi-layered image\, and the use of different inks. \nIncluded materials: Wood plates\, woodcut tools\, inks\, press\, fabriano and canson paper. \nClass takes place every Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm \nPrice for 1 session (8 classes): 8\,000 baht \nInstructor for both courses: Wal Chirachaisakul recently received his Bachelor’s degree in printmaking from P.S.G Silapakorn University. He specialises in mezzotint technique and is the recipient of several print contests in Thailand and abroad. He will be teaching in English and Thai. \nStart dates \nEtching: Wed.
