DESCRIPTION:The Last Exhibition (temporary name)\nนิทรรศการสุดท้าย (ชื่อชั่วคราว) \nSina Wittayawiroj\nสินา วิทยวิโรจน์ \nat Cartel Artspace\, 6-24 SEP 2017\nOpening Party 9 SEP 2017\, 6 PM ’til late \nAfter the exhibition “Beat Around the Bush” by Sina Wittayawiroj was asked to cancel in 2016\, I am sure that a question he had in mind was “If something exists but is not seen or acknowledged\, how is its existence different from non-existence?” \nNot only is the artwork about censoring the censored in “The Last Exhibition”\, Sina also censors his own work on another level through “destruction” resulting in us\, the viewers\, being able to witness only the traces of what had existed but had not been seen. On the other hand\, traces help verify the existence of the work itself. Through the process\, these traces that were scrap had been adapted and turned into another piece of artwork with a complex and intense story behind them. \nSina’s “The Last Exhibition” portrays the fact that he has censored himself as an artist as well. During this time where he is determined to stop creating art\, I still hope that in the end of this long censorship\, it will still leave a trace and meaning for the viewers and the artist himself. I find it appropriate to keep the parenthesis “temporary name” behind the exhibition to express the lingering feeling of something not being decided on or fully completed. It is about leaving a trace that\, if not forever removed from within\, we could perhaps see Sina Wittayawiroj as an artist once again… \nKamolaka Jittaruttha (Project manager) \n  \n  \nหลังจากนิทรรศการ Beat Around The Bush ของ สินา วิทยวิโรจน์ ถูกขอให้ยกเลิกการจัดแสดงในปี 2016 เชื่อว่าคำถามหนึ่งที่เกิดขึ้นในใจของเขาก็คือ ‘หากว่าการมีอยู่ของสิ่งหนึ่ง ไม่เป็นที่ถูกพบเห็นหรือรับรู้โดยสิ้นเชิง การมีอยู่ของสิ่งนั้นจะต่างอะไรกับการไม่มี?’ \nจากผลงานเกี่ยวกับการเซ็นเซอร์ที่ถูกเซ็นเซอร์โดยแกลเลอรี่ ใน “นิทรรศการสุดท้าย” นี้ สินายังได้เซ็นเซอร์ผลงานของตัวเองซ้ำเข้าไปอีกเปลาะหนึ่งโดยผ่านกระบวนการ “ทำลาย” ซึ่งทำให้ในท้ายที่สุด เรา – ผู้ชม ได้เป็นพยานรู้เห็นแต่เพียง ‘ร่องรอย’ (trace) ของสิ่งซึ่งครั้งหนึ่งเคยดำรงอยู่แต่ไม่ถูกพบเห็น ทว่าในทางกลับกันร่องรอยเองก็เป็นสิ่งที่ช่วยยืนยันการมีอยู่ของชิ้นงานจริง และโดยผ่านกระบวนการทั้งหมดทั้งมวล ร่องรอยที่เป็นเศษซากได้ถูกแปรเปลี่ยนให้กลับกลายเป็นงานศิลปะอีกชิ้นหนึ่งซึ่งมีเรื่องราวซ้อนทับอัดแน่นอย่างเข้มข้น \nสำหรับ “นิทรรศการสุดท้าย” ของสินา อาจกล่าวได้ว่า เขาได้เซ็นเซอร์ตัวเองจากสถานะความเป็นศิลปินด้วยเช่นกัน ในชั่วโมงนี้ที่เขาแน่วแน่กับการเลิกทำงานศิลปะ ข้าพเจ้ายังหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่า บทสรุปหรือตอนจบของมหากาพย์การเซ็นเซอร์อันแสนยาวนาน จะทิ้งร่องรอยหรือความหมายบางอย่างให้กับผู้ชม รวมถึงตัวศิลปินเองด้วย และเห็นว่าควรเก็บวงเล็บท้ายชื่อนิทรรศการว่า “(ชื่อชั่วคราว)” เอาไว้ เพื่อแสดงนัยยะถึงการทิ้งค้างบางสิ่งบางอย่างที่ยังไม่ได้ถูกตัดสินใจหรือทำให้สำเร็จลุล่วงดี เป็นการทิ้งร่องรอยเอาไว้เผื่อว่าวันใดวันหนึ่ง หากร่องรอยนี้ไม่ได้เลือนหายไปจากข้างใน เราอาจได้เห็น สินา วิทยวิโรจน์ ในฐานะศิลปินอีกครั้ง… \nกมลกา จิตตรุทธะ (Project Manager)
