SUMMARY:Bridge # Art Exhibition # Treshold Part 2
DESCRIPTION:Threshold is an ongoing investigation of the spaces between places\, the ways that journeys intersect\, the interactions between the virtual\, digital\, spiritual\, dreamt and imagined universes and the world of the real. A second group of eight artists from diverse disciplines and backgrounds collaborate to generate something that is more than the sum of its parts. \nFeaturing:\nSayumphorn Janthasorn\, a Thai photographer and digital manipulator and recent graduate from Norwich University of the Arts \nJustin Mills\, a UK-born painter who studied in India\, and whose work is about “blobs\, bleeps\, glitches\, and the Sacred Underlying Unity Of All Things”. \nRebecca Vickers\, an American artist who processes the mundane through “various media and techniques ranging from video and photography to paint\, print media and the occasional hologram”. \nKarma Sirikogar\, a “third culture nomad\, born in Singapore\, a citizen of Thailand and an Indian diasporic artist”\, whose work in paint and ink flows from music and dance. \nChristian Hogue\, an artist and director “specializing in bleeding edge digital moving image work across all media”. \nAnjali Mandrekar\, an Indian painter\, whose work is inspired by meditation and spirituality without being bound to a particular style. \nChip Seven\, an American street artist with a fashion background who has worked in and around Bangkok for many years. \nDan Burman\, a British digital artist whose work investigates the flow of information between the real and the virtual\, and the soul of the machine. \nOpening on 24 January at 7pm\, featuring live music from GLDN1.
